Weekly Wabi-Sabi Paintings
Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese word representing the beauty of all things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
In 2015, I started a weekly food painting initiative. Every Monday, I create a small, 4" oil paintings from life. I have an hour time limit and I can only use big brushes. This exercise has allowed me to experiment and play with oil paints in ways that I normally can't. Follow me every Monday to see what I paint next!
